Who we are

At El Zócalo, our mission is to honor authentic Mexican cuisine with traditional flavors and warm service that comforts the heart.

The inspiration behind El Zócalo comes from our founder, Adriana Márquez, whose love for cooking began in childhood. Growing up in Mexico City, Adriana was deeply influenced by her parents, who ran a restaurant for many years. Her mother passed down not only her treasured recipes, but also her passion for cooking with love and care.

Carrying that legacy forward, Adriana founded El Zócalo in 2023 with a commitment to preserving the authentic flavors of Mexican cuisine—especially the dishes that represent the vibrant spirit of Mexico City.

From the very beginning, Adriana was supported by her friend Victoria Ortiz, who believed in her vision and lent her help behind the scenes. With Victoria’s guidance in administration and accounting, the two friends decided to formalize the business together, combining Adriana’s culinary passion with Victoria’s organizational expertise.

Today, El Zócalo is proud to be a trusted catering service in the community, bringing authentic CDMX flavors to social and corporate events. With every dish, we celebrate tradition, friendship, family, and the joy of sharing food made with passion.
